On Sunday, April 27, 2025, the Manitoba Electric Vehicle Association (ManitobaEV) participated in the Earth Day celebrations at FortWhyte Alive, an event presented by Access Credit Union. This annual gathering brought together environmental organizations, educators, and community members to promote sustainability and climate action. The day included nature-based presenters, sessions, and activities designed to help people learn something new about our planet and how they can help protect it. This year FortWhyte Alive was also celebrating the opening of Buffalo Crossing!
Showcasing Electric Mobility
ManitobaEV featured a diverse lineup of electric vehicles (EVs), including six plug-in models, offering attendees a firsthand look at the future of transportation. Members of the association were present to answer questions about EV ownership, charging infrastructure, and the benefits of electric mobility in Manitoba.
Engaging the Community
The event provided an opportunity for visitors to learn about the environmental advantages of EVs, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and lower operating costs. ManitobaEV’s presence at Earth Day aimed to educate the public on how electric vehicles contribute to a more sustainable future.
