Experience Electric Vehicles First-Hand at the Mobile Electric Vehicle Education Trailer (MEET)

The Manitoba Electric Vehicle Association is thrilled to announce that Plug’n Drive’s Cross Canada Tour will be making a stop in Winnipeg this summer! This exciting event brings the Mobile Electric Vehicle Education Trailer (MEET) to our city, offering a unique opportunity for Manitobans to learn about and experience electric vehicles firsthand.
What is the MEET?
The Mobile Electric Vehicle Education Trailer (MEET) is a state-of-the-art, interactive experience designed to educate Canadians about electric vehicles. The trailer features:
- Interactive displays about EV technology
- Information about charging infrastructure
- Details on available rebates and incentives
- Expert staff to answer all your EV questions
On tour will be two fully collapsible and transportable MEETs, one in Eastern Canada and one in Western Canada, that serve as dynamic community hubs. These hubs are equipped with trained EV Ambassadors, engaging informational displays, and opportunities to test drive the latest EV models from leading manufacturers.
EVs Are For Everyone!
Part of Plug’n Drive’s “EVs Are For Everyone” initiative, this tour aims to make electric vehicles accessible and understandable for all Canadians. Whether you’re an EV enthusiast or just curious about these vehicles, the MEET provides valuable information in an engaging format.

Cost: FREE to the public!
Test Drive Schedule: Available every Thursday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
Priority will be given to scheduled visitors, but drop-ins are welcome! Click the link to book your test drive appointment.
Test Drive Requirements
To drive the vehicles, you must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license. If you don’t have a license or do not wish to drive the vehicles, our EV Ambassadors can do the driving. Children eight and older can be a passenger if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

- 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 AWD (All-Wheel-Drive Battery Electric Vehicle)
- 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 (All-Wheel-Drive Battery Electric Vehicle)
- 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle)
- 2024 Volvo XC60 AWD PHEV (All-Wheel Drive Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle)
EV Roadshow Extension
As part of this stop, EV Roadshow’s will branch out from MEET Winnipeg, bringing additional EV test drive opportunities to surrounding communities:
Note: The Electric Vehicle (EV) Roadshow is a Plug’n Drive priority program that travels around Canada to participate in conferences, tradeshows and festivals, offering electric vehicle education and test drive activities. EV Roadshows often spin off from our Eastern and Western MEET tours, bringing the EV experience to smaller communities, conferences, festivals, and regional events.
What does an EV Roadshow include?
- 1-3 day activation
- Plug’n Drive trained EV ambassadors, many of whom are EV owners, to engage the public and answer questions
- An electric vehicle test drive activity in some of the latest EV makes and models from leading manufacturers
- An attractive tradeshow display that can be adapted for indoor and outdoor environments
- Informative and engaging informational displays, signs and literature about EVs and home and public charging

The Winnipeg stop continues this nationwide tour bringing electric vehicle education to communities throughout Canada.
